The Economic Calendar lists the major economic releases from around the world, rated by impact, in your own time zone. Let's walk through the tab.
At the top left you pick a view. Day zooms in on a single day. Month gives you the big picture. List shows upcoming releases, sorted by time, impact or currency. Week is the default, and the one we will use.
This label tells you which dates you are looking at. Earlier and Later step through the weeks. And Today brings you straight back.
Times are shown in your own time zone, and this label tells you which one. Each day counts its releases, and how many of them are high impact. Today is marked, so you always know where you are.
The legend explains the colors: high, medium and low impact, rated by ForexFactory. A release is a moment, while your own event is a span.
Filter by impact. High keeps only the biggest releases. Medium shows the middle tier, Low the smaller ones, and All brings everything back.
Releases only hides your own events. Mine only shows just the events you added yourself. All shows both.
The grid scrolls through the hours of the day. Click a release, and a panel opens on the right, with its name, currency, impact and release time, then forecast, previous and, once it is out, the actual figure. Close the panel when you are done.
Own event opens a panel for an event of your own: a title, the dates, a category, a color and notes. We cancel here, so nothing is saved. Free during Alpha.
