Workspaces & Tabs
How to zoom, fit and move around your workspace canvas
Your workspace is a canvas that holds your tabs. The bottom bar fits every tab in view and zooms the canvas in and out. A minimap shows where your tabs sit, and arrows at the left and right edges pan the canvas.

How do I fit every tab in view?
Click Fit every tab in view in the bottom bar. The canvas zooms and moves so that all your tabs are visible. The bar also shows how many tabs the workspace holds.
How do I zoom the canvas?
- Click Zoom in or Zoom out in the bottom bar. Each click changes the zoom by 20% around the center of the view.
- Read the zoom label next to the buttons, for example "87%". The canvas zooms up to 200%.
- You can also roll the mouse wheel over empty canvas, or hold Ctrl and roll it. Aim at empty canvas, not at a tab: over a tab, the wheel scrolls the tab where its content scrolls.
To zoom a chart or a heatmap along its time axis, roll the wheel over that chart or use the buttons under it. See How to use the Chart tab.
How do I use the minimap?
The minimap shows where your tabs sit on the canvas. Use its button to hide it, and the same button to show it again.
How do I pan the canvas?
Use the arrows at the left and right edges of the canvas. For a different layout of the open tabs, see How to arrange your tabs.
How do I replay the canvas hints?
The first time you open a workspace, a hints card guides you through the canvas in five steps. To see it again, open Help in the header and click Replay the canvas hints. See also Start the tutorial.
