Drawing tools live on the left side of every chart in the Charts tab. Let's walk through them, and how to save and share your work. Down the left side of the chart is the drawing rail. Each button is a group. Its small corner opens the rest of it.
Open the line group and choose Trend Line. Click once to start and once more to finish, and a small toolbar appears. Horizontal Line marks a price with a single click. Vertical Line marks a moment in time.
A ray starts at your first click, and keeps running past the second. Fib Retracement draws its levels between two clicks, a high and a low.
The shapes group holds Rectangle, Circle and Triangle. Rectangle outlines a zone on the chart. In the brush group, pick Text and click where the note belongs. Type a short note and press Enter. It stays on the chart. The last group measures. Date and Price Range spans time and price. Click two corners to set the box.
Every drawing has its own toolbar. Line Color changes the color. Line Width makes it thicker. Click a drawing to select it. Lock keeps it from moving. Press it again to unlock. Draw a line, then change your mind. Control Z undoes it. Control Y brings it back.
To delete just one drawing, select it. Then press Remove. Hide Drawings clears the view without deleting anything. Press it again, and they are back.
The Drawings button counts how many drawings are saved with this chart. Saved drawings are listed in this panel. New drawing starts a fresh record. Its menu lets you rename it, use it by default, or delete it.
Drawings can be exchanged with friends. Export saves a record as a file you can send. Import brings a friend's file in as a new record.
The tab itself can be shared too. Open Share in the tab header. Friends who take your tab get their own copy and can pull your later changes. Clear All removes every drawing at once, with no confirmation. Use it with care. Free during Alpha.
