Fear and Greed is a daily reading of the market mood, from extreme fear to extreme greed. Let's walk through the tab. The dial runs from Extreme fear to Extreme greed. The pointer and the big number show where the market mood sits today. Under the number, you see the label and how long the reading has held. The countdown shows when the next daily reading arrives.

Recent days lists today and the days just before it. Each row is one day, with its number and its label. Alternative.me is the provider that drives the pointer. CoinMarketCap gives a second reading, from another source.

Press compare to bring the other provider's reading onto the same dial. It shows as a hollow pointer, so you can see how far the two readings are apart. Click again to stop comparing.

Pick a range: seven days, thirty days, ninety days, one year, or all history. The chart redraws for every range.

The chart plots the index against the Bitcoin price over the range you chose. Hover along the chart to read the date, the BTC price, and the index with its label.

The BTC price switch shows or hides the price line. Off, and the chart shows the index alone. On again, and the price line is back.

Distribution shows where today sits in the range. Each bar counts the days the index spent in that band. The News button opens a news tab beside this one. The footer names the data source. This is a sentiment reading, not a signal. Free during Alpha.
