A liquidation is a forced close: an exchange closes a leveraged position that can no longer be held. Every one lands here as it happens. Let's build the tape. Click Change to choose the markets that feed the tape. Pick a coin, then review the markets. Every row is a Futures market, because spot has no liquidations. Remove any single market you do not want with the x. Click Read. When it offers to save a list, choose Not now.

Every forced close lands here as a row, newest on top: the price level, the size, the side, the exchange and the time. Tags beside the size, like large and whale, show how big each liquidation was. The Liquidated block totals what was forced out. The bar splits it between longs and shorts. Below it you see how many events, the total, and the largest single liquidation.

Split over sets the time window of these totals, from the shortest to the longest. Each window has its own counts, and the choice stays after a reload. Set it back to the short one. The Reading block compares the liquidations right now with their own normal, and gives a verdict in plain words. It also shows the direction, where the biggest share of the closes sits, and how many venues are involved.

Intensity over picks the window used for that comparison. It describes how hard leverage is being forced out. It is a reading, not a signal. Show has three toggles: the table, the Liquidated block and the Reading block. Switch a block off and the table takes the room it frees.

Side filters the table. Longs shows forced selling. Shorts shows forced buying. All shows both sides together. Min size hides the small liquidations. Slide it up and only the bigger ones stay in the table. Slide it back to zero to see every liquidation again.

Size unit switches between dollars and the coin. The size column, the totals and the Reading numbers follow it. Rows has two modes. Group by level merges liquidations that hit nearby prices close together in time into one line. One per event lists every liquidation on its own.

Pause freezes the tape so you can read it. Resume to go live again. Refresh clears the table and restarts the tape from the live stream. The blocks keep their totals.

Edit appearance changes the tab's color, skin and font. Open in sends the same selection to another tab, like Charts, the Orderbook or Live Trades. Free during Alpha.

More about Liquidations

  • How to read a liquidation heatmap: Add the Liquidation Heatmap layer to a chart and read the modeled levels against price.
  • How to use the Trades tab: To see live crypto trades in Tabmydata, open the Trades tab and pick a coin. It lists every print from the exchanges you choose in one tape, newest on
  • How to save and load coin lists: In Tabmydata you save the markets of a tab as a named list, then load it again in one click from the Lists button of the Orderbook, Trades or Liquidat
  • How to pause a live tab or feed: Live tabs keep moving. To read without the list shifting, pause the tab. News has Hold for me, and Take a break stops every tab for 15 minutes.
